Thomas Murtagh is a founding member of Clarion Healthcare Consulting. With over 10 years of consulting to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, he brings significant expertise to bear on a range of issues relating to product commercialization, product marketing, portfolio management and planning, as well as supporting business development assessment and prioritization. Mr. Murtagh has worked across a range of therapeutic categories having led projects in cardiovascular disease, neuroscience, psychiatry, oncology, and women's health and with all key organizational functions including discovery research, clinical development, marketing, medical affairs, sales, and business development.

Prior to founding Clarion, Mr. Murtagh jointly led the Healthcare Practice as a Vice President with Braun Consulting (formerly Vertex Partners). Prior to Braun, Mr. Murtagh was a manager within Arthur D. Little's strategic healthcare consulting practice where he led numerous projects in the business development and portfolio management areas. Mr. Murtagh has an MBA with concentrations in finance from the University of Chicago and a BA from Dartmouth College.
