Daniel Hawkins is a founding member of Clarion Healthcare Consulting. Mr. Hawkins has over 18 years of experience in healthcare, having worked with companies ranging from global pharmaceutical companies to development stage biotech and device companies. He has worked in functional areas from product development through sales, from product specific issues to corporate global concerns. Work in the field of diabetes has been a significant component of Mr. Hawkins work over the last decade. In addition to working for several medical device manufacturers, he has worked with a major pharmaceutical company to develop a strategy for participating in the diabetes field, as well as an emerging biotech on its commercialization strategy for its diabetes products in development. In the cardiovascular area, Mr. Hawkins has worked on the commercialization strategy for several anti-hypertensives, as well as the development strategy for an anti-thrombolytic, all for major pharmaceutical companies.

Prior to founding Clarion, Mr. Hawkins was President of Hawkins Associates, a consulting firm he founded to provide advisory services to emerging and mid-cap healthcare companies as well as financial investors. Prior to the founding Hawkins Associates, Mr. Hawkins was CEO of a development stage medical device company. He spent his first 10 years at the consulting firm of Corporate Decisions, Inc., where he was partner, co-head of the healthcare practice and elected one of three members of the Management Committee. Mr. Hawkins has an MBA from the Yale School of Management, and an AB in Economics from Princeton University.
