Gordon Walton brings nearly 20 years of experience to client engagements. A founder and Managing Director of Clarion, Gordon helps guide pharmaceutical and biotech companies to optimize their investments through portfolio management, competitive strategy, and organizational change. Gordon has particular experience in turnaround and novel at-risk partnering strategies.
Gordon has partnered with clients to achieve optimal results in all key organizational functions including discovery research, clinical development, marketing, medical affairs, sales and business development. His work has spanned a range of therapeutic categories, from ophthalmology to respiratory disease. In particular, Gordon has led a number of ophthalmology-oriented strategy projects, was the founder of Ocutech, Inc., a medical products company specializing in the ophthalmology and optometry markets, and has served as an advisor to several large “category-killer” cataract and refractive surgery practices.
Prior to founding Clarion, Gordon was co-head of Braun Consulting’s Healthcare Practice. Before working at Braun, he worked for Bankers Trust in the structuring, sales and trading of complex financial securities.
Gordon earned his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his undergraduate degree from Seattle Pacific University.
